My roomie, the big guy and I are the hottest things to hit this place since, well, ever. Just ask the guy who walked into the pole while he was staring at Ali. (That's what I started laughing about, Ali. Sorry I couldn't tell you at the time...was sort of choking on my gum.)

Oh shopping, how do I love thee, let me count the ways.

One for Nordstroms and its seven stories.
Two for Aldo and shoes that make one weep.
Three for Victoria's Secret wherein dreams are made and hearts are broken. God bless undergarments that defy the laws of nature. *thinks fondly of the pink and white bags currently littering her bed*

I have swiped the numbers off my credit cards today. I cannot overstate how amazingly helpful Piotr was on this trip. A big strong man is a must from now on for any serious shopping trips. I may even have to add it to my Christmas list.

I so needed this. Both the new wardrobe and the day with friends. Thanks you two!

You are going to add me to your Christmas list? :)

It was a lot of fun, I hope we can all go shopping again someday!

I am hereby ashamed of you for the entire male race.

May I remind you of the childish glee that took over your facial expression when, amidst all the terror, you got to pick up all our clothes?

And your obsession with john deere green? I mean, it doesn't really mean you have fashion sense but at least it shows that you've definite interest in colour-schemes and that kinda stuff.

Gotcha :P

-.-

JDG does go real well with goldenrod yellow.

And picking out the clothes? *pretended it didn't happen*

You're kidding me, right? He figured out a perfect excuse to hang around Victoria's Secret for a sustained length of time. Nobody looks funny at someone who's obviously just there to carry the bags.

I'm starting to think he's a secret genius, myself.

You can come along any time you like, dear boy. However, only one of you gets ice cream.

That's fine. Feeding the dupes doesn't do anything anyway, far's I've ever been able to tell. The food goes wherever the clothes go.

Hmmm, does that mean if your dupe takes off his shoes and then you reabsorb him, you reabsorb the shoes too?

Re:

From: [identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com
I tried that. :) Thought I could get spare shoes for free. They didn't reabsorb, but they kind of . . . fell apart. Couple minutes after I reabsorbed the dupe, there wasn't anything recognizably shoelike left. Too bad, too, I'd never have to go clothes shopping again.

Bummer...that would have been useful for my nefarious purposes.

Hey, Jamie, you're a farmboy, right?

Either I do not see the hidden appeal of lacy things half the size of my hand that cost twice what a real nice shirt would cost me, or you are all crazy.

*raises an eyebrow speculatively*...are we sure this one's a het? Because if not, I've got this friend back home with a thing for farm boys...

He's a great guy, really. I met him during a debate tournament in high school. He crushed my best friend's argument on stem cell research then bought us pizza. They bonded over ex-boyfriends with big trucks.

Want me to give you his number?

It's not the lacy things, man, it's the cute girls in the store. Including, if you're lucky, the ones whose bags you're carrying.

Re:

I have to disagree with you here, hon. It is also very much the lacy things...and the mental images they provide.

Well, I wasn't planning on shopping really, I was thinking more going out for fun, like to a movie or a game or drinking or dancing or a concert or making potery or ANYTHING but shopping. And especially not at a women's underwear store. >_

Date: 2003-05-23 07:47 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-piotr.livejournal.com
Okay! I like movies and all those things. Except a concert and making potery ?

Date: 2003-05-23 08:00 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-cannonball.livejournal.com
A concert is where you go to listen to music live. And making potery is, like, using clay to make a pot. Or dishes or things. I was kinda kidding with that one, as I don't actually know HOW to make pots.
