Independence Day BBQ

Yes, children and students it's that time again. Post racing festivities we'll be returning to the mansion for our traditional Fourth BBQ. Jamie 'the Grillmaster' Madrox will be on burning things over coals duty. Make sure he knows what you're planning on eating whether it be steak, veggie or what have you.

I've got the rest of it. If you touch the stuff that's in the fridge right now marked with little flags, you're forfeiting food tomorrow. I will know. My spies are everywhere.

Pies will be available. I know you're shocked.

I only burn if that's what the customer orders, you hoity-toity indoor-cooking elitist. ;) But we will indeed have an assortment for all tastes, and if it's not tooting my own horn too much to make a recommendation, I've always been grateful for all the kind words I've received regarding my ribs.

And Lorna's spies are everywhere; trust me, I know. ;)

What's in the "what have you"? I mean, because Lorna already said "steak" so, I'm wondering, what options do I get here in my choice of tasty dead animals to chew on?

Beef, pork, mutton, lamb, chicken, turkey, the venison is thawing, and I may have missed a few things on the list.

What, no goat or duck?

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2006-07-04 01:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll put those on the list for next year, how about. I don't think I've ever actually eaten goat, huh.

[identity profile] x-aerial.livejournal.com 2006-07-04 02:56 pm (UTC)(link)
It was meant to be a joke, not a suggestion. Rahne listed a number of types of meat from different animals but did not mention goat or duck.

Ah, well, okay.

I still might put goat on the shopping list one of these days. Because now I'm all curious.

Duck's pretty good though. My dad used to get a couple when he went hunting.

[identity profile] x-polarisstar.livejournal.com 2006-07-04 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Duck is excellent. It's just hard to make in quantity for something like this.

Steak without the messy sauce, please.

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2006-07-04 01:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Done. But I tell you, the sauce makes it taste so much better.

[identity profile] x-aerial.livejournal.com 2006-07-04 03:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I will try other types of sauces if you have them. If you really want to be the one responsible for causing a student to end up in Medlab, you go right ahead and smother my steak in BBQ sauce.

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2006-07-04 03:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw, allergies? Didn't know, sorry about that. Allergies suck.

[identity profile] x-aerial.livejournal.com 2006-07-04 03:05 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I do not have any allergies.

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2006-07-04 03:07 pm (UTC)(link)
So why would you end up in the medlab from eating barbecue sauce?

[identity profile] x-aerial.livejournal.com 2006-07-04 03:20 pm (UTC)(link)
That would be because the sauce in mention is barbecue sauce and the sight of it disgusts me. In all honesty, the mere thought of it turns my stomach. I can only imagine what actually consuming it would do to me.

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2006-07-04 03:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, okay then, if you're that set against it I won't push. You ever decide you wanna give it a try, though, smothering's not the only way to use it.
