Yes, children and students it's that time again. Post racing festivities we'll be returning to the mansion for our traditional Fourth BBQ. Jamie 'the Grillmaster' Madrox will be on burning things over coals duty. Make sure he knows what you're planning on eating whether it be steak, veggie or what have you.

I've got the rest of it. If you touch the stuff that's in the fridge right now marked with little flags, you're forfeiting food tomorrow. I will know. My spies are everywhere.

Pies will be available. I know you're shocked.

I only burn if that's what the customer orders, you hoity-toity indoor-cooking elitist. ;) But we will indeed have an assortment for all tastes, and if it's not tooting my own horn too much to make a recommendation, I've always been grateful for all the kind words I've received regarding my ribs.

And Lorna's spies are everywhere; trust me, I know. ;)

What's in the "what have you"? I mean, because Lorna already said "steak" so, I'm wondering, what options do I get here in my choice of tasty dead animals to chew on?

Beef, pork, mutton, lamb, chicken, turkey, the venison is thawing, and I may have missed a few things on the list.

What, no goat or duck?

Date: 2006-07-04 01:39 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com
I'll put those on the list for next year, how about. I don't think I've ever actually eaten goat, huh.

From: [identity profile] x-aerial.livejournal.com
It was meant to be a joke, not a suggestion. Rahne listed a number of types of meat from different animals but did not mention goat or duck.

Ah, well, okay.

I still might put goat on the shopping list one of these days. Because now I'm all curious.

Duck's pretty good though. My dad used to get a couple when he went hunting.

From: [identity profile] x-polarisstar.livejournal.com
Duck is excellent. It's just hard to make in quantity for something like this.

Steak without the messy sauce, please.

Date: 2006-07-04 01:40 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com
Done. But I tell you, the sauce makes it taste so much better.

From: [identity profile] x-aerial.livejournal.com
I will try other types of sauces if you have them. If you really want to be the one responsible for causing a student to end up in Medlab, you go right ahead and smother my steak in BBQ sauce.

Aw, allergies? Didn't know, sorry about that. Allergies suck.

Date: 2006-07-04 03:05 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-aerial.livejournal.com
No, I do not have any allergies.

Date: 2006-07-04 03:07 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com
So why would you end up in the medlab from eating barbecue sauce?

Date: 2006-07-04 03:20 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-aerial.livejournal.com
That would be because the sauce in mention is barbecue sauce and the sight of it disgusts me. In all honesty, the mere thought of it turns my stomach. I can only imagine what actually consuming it would do to me.

Date: 2006-07-04 03:25 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com
Well, okay then, if you're that set against it I won't push. You ever decide you wanna give it a try, though, smothering's not the only way to use it.

Ooh. Requests for those big shrimp wrapped in bacon with the bits of pineapple and green peppers.

I can do those. Mmm, shrimp

No and yes but I'll love you forever if you take the latter over from me.

I'll do both then.

proper indian chili. which is only appropriate for july 4.

Totally need to make some grilled veggie-kabobs. They're not just for vegans, I swear! And grilled pineapple.

But, uh...is it gonna be a problem to get them cooked on a part of the grill that hasn't had greasy cow pieces dripping all over it? Because ew.

From: [identity profile] x-wildchild.livejournal.com
They already have to do some of the stuff seperate, cause last year when Haroun was here, he was all No Pork Man. Also I think no some other stuff man, but I forget what besides Pork is Bad. And Kitty's Jewish, but I dunno if she keeps kosher, and hey, allergies, so I bet they could get you your own grill space.

And ... grilled pineapple? You can grill PINEAPPLE? Holy CRAP. I need that. I mean, like, five minutes ago.

With maple sugar even.

Duuuude.

Seriously like, yum. There is nothing about grilled pineapple that isn't totally sounding awesome to me right now.

Kitchen raid and we'll just avoid the ones with flags? There has to be non-flagged food down there SOMEWHERE.

I am so there, it's not even funny.

We might even get lucky.

I make a mean BLT. Also a mean BLaT, but that's because I dig avacado. BlacT too, but that starts sounding like BlacK and I don't think a Bacon, Lettuce, Avacado, Cheese and Kosher Pickle sandwich is a good idea.

Date: 2006-07-04 03:46 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-prism.livejournal.com
That's a good point. Cool!

And oh man, you haven't ever had grilled pineapple? Omigod. The sugar goes all, like, carmelized, so it's like charcoaly pineapple with caramel flavor!

I've never had grilled FRUIT. Just about everything else but never fruit.

... Kitchen raid with Jennie and me? I mean a mean .. Uh, I guess for you it'd be a ... Lat? Lettuce and avacado and tomato sandwich?

You can grill damn near as many things as you can deep-fry, not that I'll ever get the chance to prove that.

And yeah, no problem separating the grillspace, already had one set up for veggies-only.

If they're apple pie, I'm sorry, but I will be claiming all of them.

What kind of pie?

*takes a deep breath*

Peach, apple, cherry, strawberry, chocolate, lemon meringue, berry, pecan, apple-cranberry and boston cream

Jamie, did I miss anything?

Mmm, cheesecake.

Love and kisses,
Lorna
