Honey!

No, that wasn't a term of endearment. Well, not for any person.

The Times had this marvelous article on honeys and how they can be used and it reminded me of a recipe and...

Well, I'm going to start cooking now.

Mom sent me a couple jars last week--they're in the back of the cupboard.

I just ordered some from the specialty shops. There's this fabulous lavendar honey that works perfectly to complement a couple of...some of the recipes I have.

What, better than farm-fresh honey straight from the hives of the Madrox family bees, hand-harvested and personally packed in jars by the hand of my very own mother?

For the recipe I'm using, yes. Your mother's honey is wildflower honey and it's a bit more unpredictable than I'm looking for.

Aah, okay then.

I'm still gonna tell her, y'know. ;)

You do that. Also come try these scallops.

Ooh, scallops.
