(no subject)

Curses, missed a shot at getting someone else to do the grocery shopping. Stupid body and its stupid napping tendencies. (Incidently, how long am I going to be doing the sleeping every three hours thing, Doc? Amanda? I'm taking a random guess and saying it has to do with replacing energy, yeah?)

Right. So despite Em's trip to the market for essentials of foodage, I have discovered that I'm still woefully understocked on some of the stuff I use regularly. Man does not live on peanut butter and bread alone, at least not if I can help it. So, I will be taking a short trip following classes tomorrow, no more than a few hours tops and to boring places to boot (speciality food shops) but I'm going to offer to take along people anyway. I'm not, however, taking errand requests. You want something, come along.

I feel like I'm forgetting something...

Oh right.

Nice to be back among the living.

We can take a van or something. I want to go too.

And now I have a "grocery song" in head, which makes use of those words a lot. Want me to teach it to you while we head over there? *beams*

Shopping!

Yes, please.

With both Lorna and I along? Shopping indeed. >:D

Miles just ran off to teach it to Artie. Oh dear.

Extreme Shopping!

I think I saw that on late-night television. There were men in silly costumes and poles with foam things on the end for hitting with.

Oh dear. I suppose "Alison Blaire Sings Childrens' Songs" is a bad idea, right?

Lorna, this one comes shopping with us more often.

Mmm. I see we have a proper introduction to Extreme Shopping to do here. Oh yes...

*cackles*

Heh. Depends who you ask. Lorna's head me sing sailor type bar songs... ;)

*grin*

No pole things for hitting with? I am not sure if I am disapointed or relieved.

No, see... the trick is getting other people to bring what you want to you, when shopping. ;)

Is that that 'personal shopper' person that Ms. Frost was talking about?

That seems to take the fun out of it, though. You can't get inspired to buy cookies if someone is bringing you things.

Not quite.

It's about how to make someone want to find something you'll like, not because they'll make money out of it, but because they want to. On pure personality alone.

Oh.

This is part of that "How Not To Eat Your Own Feet" seminar, only different, isn't it?

Exactly!

There's some foam rubber in the basement, I could make you a pole to hit things with if you want. Might be fun. Especially if we run into any surly restockers.
