Another sunny day in California.

I think I've done something terribly stupid.

On the upside, I think the interview went well.

Heck no! I'm getting fringe benefits!

So what's this interview?

[identity profile] x-polarisstar.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 05:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Somehow that's not more reassuring.

Someone who is not Forge: See above re: Marius

It's for a program studying the fault. 8 months, full course credit. With a couple of extra classes, I'll actually have enough credit to graduate by winter. The drawback is that it's in Berkeley and not Hawaii.

[identity profile] x-forge.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 05:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, housing's probably slightly cheaper in Berkeley than Hawaii. And Berkeley's still close enough to the beach for you and Alex to get the sun and surf in.

[identity profile] x-polarisstar.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 05:11 pm (UTC)(link)
You've never been to Berkeley have you?

[identity profile] x-forge.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 05:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Not as such, no. Why, is it horrible and full of hippies and counter-culture radicals like all the stories say?

[identity profile] x-polarisstar.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
You know how I complain that Southern California really isn't the stereotype that you see in movies but sometimes wow it is ever?

Berkeley's like that too. You can almost forget you're not someplace perfectly normal. Then someone chains himself to a tree because it's the home of some rare bug.

There's a solution for people like that.

[identity profile] x-jetstream.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Chainsaws.

Or, if you want to take care of it once and for all ...

Like the good corporal said. Take off and nuke the site from orbit.

It's the only way to be sure.

Re: There's a solution for people like that.

[identity profile] x-polarisstar.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 07:19 pm (UTC)(link)
...no.

Re: There's a solution for people like that.

[identity profile] x-jetstream.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
*sigh*

Why not? Be doing the world a favor...

Haroun

PS - Car bomb, then? Just to get the most obnoxious ones?

Re: There's a solution for people like that.

[identity profile] x-polarisstar.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 08:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Because I don't find it funny when people would like to apply the same tactics to me.

[identity profile] x-cyclops.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Nuke them from orbit?

Someone woke up on the hyperbolic side of the bed this morning, I see. Either that or you were watching Aliens last night...

Stop your grinnin'...

[identity profile] x-jetstream.livejournal.com 2006-02-25 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
And drop your linen.

Found 'em.

[identity profile] x-foliate.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Was there ever a dou- don't answer that. Suffice to say, I like you too.

And hitting Marius.

[identity profile] x-polarisstar.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
It's one of those things that is never in doubt. I just like reminding you every now and then.

[identity profile] x-foliate.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm... I wonder if I could steal the jet and come visit you this weekend...

[identity profile] x-polarisstar.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Better hold off on that, darling. I'm still getting things in order.

[identity profile] x-foliate.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
You've seen my room. Now, imagine my room... but with a boy who is just as, if not more messy than I am living in there too. Uh huh.

Obviously nothing scares me anymore.

But if you insist. Because I'm kind like that and respect the anal tendencies of others.

[identity profile] x-polarisstar.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Silly muppet. I meant travel-wise. No stealing the jet and getting home before me, you brat.

[identity profile] x-foliate.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
What kiiiiind of muppet? OH! OHOH! Can I be the melon guy? Who's with Beaker? He was smart and Beaker exploded and when I was little this was hilarious.

[identity profile] x-polarisstar.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Dr. Bunsen Honeydew. Absolutely. You can be any muppet that you like.

Except Kermit.

[identity profile] x-blink.livejournal.com 2006-02-25 06:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I applied to Berkley.

I haven;t heard them laughing outrageously from Cali yet so I hope this means I have a chance.
