Who made dinner tonight? You guys didn't let Alex cook without supervision right? Or is this the pills? I didn't think they'd do this.

No seriously. It's Easter, what kind of sacrilege has been committed in my kitchen?

The sacrilege in question wouldn't be a rich, somewhat oily chicken and venison soup, would it?

I'm giving you a suspicious look. Yes, it is. Are you responsible for this abomination?

[identity profile] x-beast.livejournal.com 2005-03-28 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I wouldn't call it an abomination, exactly... and how did you get it? You're not the patient I intended it for.

I'm non-ambulatory, Doc. How do I get anything these days?

[identity profile] x-beast.livejournal.com 2005-03-28 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
Aha. My adopted little brother is clearly to blame. *g* I'm sorry you don't like it, my dear, but it's something of a... specialized taste. (If you were wondering about the funny aftertaste, it's the cod-liver oil.)

You fed this to someone on purpose? Do you not like them?

Yeah, I noticed the cod-liver oil.

[identity profile] x-beast.livejournal.com 2005-03-28 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
I made it for Anika... it's a feral thing. The meat and the oil taste good to most feral mutations. (And me, too, with my Everhungry Omnivore metabolism) I'm told that most people don't like it, though, and I'm sorry you had it sprung on you. *g* I can cook better than that, honest.

I don't believe you. Stay out of my kitchen.

I am not!

Alex says I'm pouting.

[identity profile] x-beast.livejournal.com 2005-03-28 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
And I'm sure it's adorable. ;)

And I really can cook things that taste better than that, to more human-standard tastebuds. Remember the banana bread?

I think you bought that. You're a tricky tricker you are.

Alex, I am not pouting! Stop laughing at me!

[identity profile] x-rahne.livejournal.com 2005-03-28 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
I think you ought to believe him... I mean, I've got to where I like raw deer liver first thing in the morning occasionally, but I do not feed it to other people.

I'm getting curious about this soup.

He's a tricker. That's my analysis and I'm sticking to it.

There's more up here if you want some. Whole bowl. Help yourself.

I'll have you know I baked that with my own two hands. And if I'm ever allowed into the kitchen again, I will do things with a rack of lamb that will make your toes all wiggly.

I'm a professionally trained culinary technician. I do not get wiggly toes over racks of lamb.

[identity profile] x-beast.livejournal.com 2005-03-28 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
Sure you will. It'll take the taste of the soup away. *g* Really, I can cook! The soup is just a special diet for feral patients. Be grateful I never make you cook it... if it's needed, I make it up myself. *g* Of course, I don't usually let you find out. Silly me, I forgot you'd be having the kitchen watched in your absence.

Jamie brought me tasty food.
